PM Government Internship Duration
At least six months of the internship must be spent in a real-world work environment within the internship companies. Classroom training or theoretical learning should not exceed half of the total duration.
PM Internship Program Benefits
The selected interns will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000 throughout the 12-month internship program. This stipend is comprised of two parts:
- Government Contribution:
As this is a government internship, the Gov of India will contribute Rs. 4,500 per month to each intern’s stipend through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to their aadhaar connected bank account.
- Company Contribution:ย
The internship companies will contribute Rs. 500 per month to each intern’s stipend. This contribution is based on the intern’s commitment to the company policies.
Internship companies can also provide additional monthly assistance to interns from their funds beyond the mandatory Rs. 500 contribution.
PM Internship Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Pradhan Mantri Internship Yojana, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Applicant should be an Indian National to be eligible for PM Internship.
- Age: Between 21 and 24 years old (as of the application deadline).
- Education: Must have completed High School, Higher Secondary School, an ITI certificate, a Polytechnic diploma, or a graduate degree (BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, BPharma, etc.).
- Employment: The applicant shouldnโt be currently employed full-time in any organisation. (Those enrolled in online/distance learning programs are eligible for this Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2024)
- Family Income: Total family income must be below Rs. 8 lakh annually for the financial year 2023-24. Additionally, no family member should be employed in a full-time government position.
PM Internship Application
